The City of Houston is considering regulations for Short-Term Rentals (STRs) operating within the Houston city limits. A draft of the proposed Ordinance and a form for providing feedback on the draft regulations can be accessed via the links above.
An STR is a dwelling unit or any portion of a dwelling unit that is rented out or offered to be rented out for a period of less than 30 consecutive days (exceptions apply).
The next meeting to discuss the proposed regulations will be the Quality-of-Life Committee meeting on December 9 at 2 p.m. held in the Anna Russell Council Chambers located on the 2nd Floor of City Hall, 901 Bagby Street, Houston, 77002. All meetings are open to the public and will include an opportunity for public comment related to the items presented during that meeting.
