BEGINNING TENNIS NOVICE
(Junior Development – JD1, JD2 and JD3)

HPARD Youth Tennis Program has partnered with HTA – NJTL for a FREE, year-round program that offers beginners and intermediate lessons for ages 4-18 (ages 6-18 during year the school). The program provides children with the fundamentals of the game and educational components that develop life skills. The program and instructions are offered at the neighborhood parks and tennis facilities throughout Houston.

Junior Development 1 (JD1 – Beginner Level Instruction/Play for ages 6 – 10 yrs.) 4:15 p.m. -5:15 p.m.

Junior Development 2 (JD2 – Advanced Beginner Level Instruction/Play for ages 8 – 18 yrs) 5:15 p.m. - 6:15 p.m.

Junior Development 3 (JD3 – Intermediate Level Instruction/Play for ages 8 – 18 years; participants must pass a skills test for placement in class) 6:15 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.

NOTE: NJTL uses the ROGY-Red, Orange, Green, Yellow-progression in tennis classes.

DREAMERS TENNIS

The Tennis Dreamers is an NJTL tennis program for intermediate level players designed to provide more playing time on court. The 3-hour camps during the week will be offered at three different parks: Highland Park, Homer Ford Tennis Center, and Memorial Park Tennis Center. This is a free program to help improve play.

NOTE: NJTL uses the ROGY-Red, Orange, Green, Yellow-progression in tennis classes.

HOME SCHOOL TENNIS

The HPARD Home School Tennis Program has partnered with HTA – NJTL for a FREE, year-round program that offers beginners and intermediate lessons for ages 4-18 (ages 6-18 during year the school). The program provides children with the fundamentals of the game and educational components that develop life skills. The program and instructions are offered at the neighborhood parks and tennis facilities across the city of Houston.
