Solid Waste Management Department
Services Will Continue on Veterans Day Holiday

HOUSTON — The Solid Waste Management Department wants to inform residents that all solid waste services will continue as scheduled during the Veterans Day holiday. There will be no interruptions or delays in service due to the holiday. Curbside collection of garbage, recycling, tree and yard waste will occur on residents' regular service days, including Monday, November 11, 2024.

Monday, November 11, 2024 (Veterans Day)
CITY HOLIDAY: There will be NO INTERRUPTION to the collection service on Veterans Day. Garbage, yard waste, tree waste, and recycling will be collected according to the regular schedule. However, please note that all drop-off facilities and administrative offices will be closed for the holiday.

Tuesday, November 12, 2024
Neighborhood Depositories, Westpark Recycling Centers, Environmental Service Center, and the Reuse Warehouse will resume normal operations.
