District A Staff

Liz Miranda, Chief of Staff
Liz Miranda serves as Chief of Staff for Council Member Amy Peck. She is a proud resident of District A. Liz earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Houston-Downtown, and a master’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from the University of St. Thomas. She started as in intern for Council Member Ed Gonzalez in 2013, and most recently served as Director of Constituent Services for Council Member Brenda Stardig since 2014. Liz has a passion for public service and community outreach. In her spare time, Liz loves spending time with family, friends, and volunteering at church.

Sarah Singleton, Director of Constituent Services
Sarah serves District A as the Director of Constituent Services. Her passion is people, and she looks forward to serving District A. She enjoys connecting with constituents and helping them solve issues. Sarah has previously served as District Director in both the Texas State House and State Senate. She enjoys traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with her family.

Josie De Leon, Community Outreach/Scheduler
Josie De Leon currently serves as the Community Outreach Coordinator and Scheduler for Council Member Amy Peck. She previously worked for former Council Member Mike Laster as Administrative Assistant. Prior to that she was the Executive Director of the Denver Harbor Senior Citizens, Inc. She enjoyed working with the seniors in her community. Her goals are to serve and support the community of District A and work on resolving issues and concerns for the constituents. Josie loves family time, crafting and baseball.

Alan Roman, Director of Public Engagement
Alan Roman serves as Director of Public Engagement for Council Member Amy Peck. Alan graduated from the University of Houston in May 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish for Global Professions. During his time in college, he interned with Council Member Tarsha Jackson for a year through the CHIP Internship Program, and most recently served as Director of Communications for Council Member Mike Knox. Alan is a native Houstonian and enjoys serving our community. In his spare time you can find Alan at an Astros game and spending time with friends and family.
