Park Projects and Repairs

• Glenbrook Park Playground Closed – April 2024
  The Glenbrook Park Playground poured-in-place rubberized surfacing will be replaced. The playground will be closed for the duration of the work and will reopen once the surfacing has properly cured. The project is being managed by Gulfgate TIRZ 8.
• Irvington Park Playground Area Closed - February 19 - April 30, 2024
  The Irvington Park playground and the areas near the playground will be closed for construction starting Monday February 19, 2024, through the end of April. The scope of the project includes expanding the playground to include new 2-5 play equipment, including several musical items, a new fitness plaza , new fitness equipment and new concrete walks in this area.This will be a partial park closure, the majority of the park will remain open.
• Mangum Manor – Playground Removed – November 3, 2023 – Until Further Notice
  The Mangum Manor Playground has been removed and has been placed on the Playground Replacement List due to due to age and life expectancy. An estimated replacement is to be determined.
• Mecom Fountain Under Repair – March 8 - April 29, 2024.
  Mecom Fountain is under repair for LED Lighting, wiring, junction boxes and controls March 8, 2024 to April 29, 2024.
• Park at Palm Center Closed - July 2023 – April 2024
  The park will be close for park renovations that include landscaping and irrigation renovation, shade fabric replacement on existing shade canopy frame, splashpad repainting, entry signs and art enhancements, and a new restroom facility and associated utilities. The project is being managed by the OST/Almeda Corridors Redevelopment Authority.
• Sagemont Gymnasium Under Repair – March 12 – April 28, 2024
  All gymnasium activities suspended from March 12 to April 28. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience. We expect to make needed repairs to by Sunday, April 28, 2024.
• Trinity Gardens Park Basketball Pavilion Closed – September 29, 2023 – Until Further Notice
  The Trinity Gardens Park Basketball is closed until further notice. We are currently in the design phase for the pavilion’s renovation.
• Watonga Skate Park Closed - April 15 - 19, 2024.
  Watonga Skate Park is closed due to repairs April 15, 2024, thru April 19, 2024.
• Windsor Village Playground Closed – December 20, 2023 – Until Further Notice
  The Windsor Village Playground was removed on December 20, 2023 due to its reaching its estimated life expectancy. The playground has been placed on the Playground Replacement List.
