LOCATION: Westbranch is located north of Clay Road at the West Belt.

COMMUNITY DESCRIPTION AND HISTORY: One portion, Westway, consists of townhomes, and the other, Westbranch, is made up of single-family homes. Most of Westbranch's medium-priced homes were built in the 1970s, but home construction resumed in the 1990s. The western portion of the community, which adjoins the West Belt, is being redeveloped with commercial and office projects. The City of Houston annexed the neighborhood in 1994.
