Yusef J. Burgess founded Strategic Insurance Advisors, aiming to offer innovative solutions and expert guidance in the realm of commercial insurance and surety. The company's primary mission is to assist small and middle market businesses in identifying, assessing, and leveraging risks to promote economic growth. Yusef's prior experience in a similar role includes five years of consulting at Marsh McLennan Agency, where he aided clients in managing various types of risks, such as hazard, operational, financial, and strategic risks. Before his tenure at Marsh, Yusef held the position of senior risk manager on Citigroup's energy desk, specializing in regulatory risk. He commenced his professional career trading futures, options, and equities at the New York Mercantile Exchange with SWM Trading Group, based in New York.

Yusef earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin (Madison) and completed a Master of Business Administration with a specialization in global energy from the Bauer School of Business at the University of Houston.
