Abril Harris DavilaAbril Harris Davila is an attorney and resident of Houston’s Second Ward (East Downtown or EaDo). Originally from Mexico, Abril moved to Texas as a young teenager. Abril attended Saint Joseph’s Academy in Brownsville where she had the opportunity to learn English as a second language. After high school, Abril went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009. She then obtained a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law.

While in law school, Abril served as the Chair of Finance and Appropriations for UT’s Graduate Student Assembly. After law school, Abril’s legal practice focused on civil litigation, construction disputes, and first-party insurance coverage issues. Throughout her career, Abril has served as litigation counsel for general contractors, subcontractors, financial institutions, individuals, and insurers before juries and arbitral panels throughout Texas in litigation involving public, commercial, and residential projects. Abril now owns her own law firm where her practice is now focused on transactional construction law and pro bono representation.

Abril is married to her law school sweetheart and proudly owns two cats and a growing number of orchids, mostly phalaenopsis.
