Congressman Al Green is currently serving his tenth term in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing the Ninth Congressional District of Texas. He is a member of the House Committee on Homeland Security and serves as Chair of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. Throughout his 18-year career in Congress, the Houston-area representative has been known for his unwavering advocacy for those in the ‘streets of life’ – the less fortunate, the marginalized, and those whose voices too often go unheard. Congressman Green’s impeccable character has gained him the respect of his colleagues, community leaders, and people of diverse backgrounds as he continues to bend the arc of the moral universe toward justice.
