Officer A. Said (Westside Division) responded to a Suspicious Person/ Weapon call at the Whales Fish and Chicken located at 14100 Westheimer. Initial reports state that a male was at the restaurant pointing a gun at citizens. The officer arrived and located the suspect walking away from the location with a black handgun in his hand. The officer gave the suspect commands to drop the weapon and the suspect refused. Suspect pointed his weapon at the officer and the officer discharged his weapon striking the suspect twice. Suspect transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
