Officers were involved in a traffic stop. The male and female stated they were speeding because someone was shooting at them from a road rage incident. As officers were conducting their investigation, a sergeant on scene noticed a male crossing Bissonnet walking toward the officers. The male initiated an interaction with the officers on the scene. During the interaction, the male brandished a pistol and pointed it at the officers. This led to four of the officers on the scene to react to the threat and discharge their firearms. The suspect was struck several times and was transported to Ben Taub Hospital by the Houston Fire Department. The suspect did not survive his injuries.
