Houston Police Department officers were dispatched to a robbery in progress at a store, the suspect was brandishing a knife. When officers arrived, they located the suspect and gave verbal commands to stop. The suspect advanced towards officers with the knife. An officer discharged their duty weapon striking the suspect in the head. The suspect was transported to Ben Taub Hospital and is in critical condition.
