Officers were advised of a disturbance in the front parking lot. Officers went to the parking lot to investigate and observed the suspect approaching their direction with an assault rifle. After giving the suspect verbal commands, the suspect raised the rifle in the officers’ direction, prompting the officers to discharge their duty weapons. The suspect was struck multiple times, transported to Ben Taub Hospital, where he was listed as Critical, but Stable Condition.
