Houston Police Department’s Southeast Patrol Division were dispatched to a Crash Major at the location. The caller reported that the suspect had struck the caller’s vehicle. The caller also mentioned the suspect appeared intoxicated and threatened the caller with a firearm. When officers arrived on scene, they observed the suspect’s vehicle to be parked near an entry/exit gate, and the suspect located in the driver’s seat. Officers approached the vehicle and observed the suspect to be in possession of at least one firearm. Officers then began to give verbal commands to the suspect and the suspect did not comply with the officer’s commands. Officers then observed the suspect making movements inside of the vehicle while armed, prompting officers to discharge their duty weapons, striking the suspect. The suspect was pronounced deceased on scene.
