Northeast Patrol Officers were dispatched to a suspicious person with a weapon call for service. Officers received information that a Hispanic male was observed walking outside back and forth, talking to himself, while armed with a rifle, which he had reportedly discharged at least one time in an unknown direction. Officers arrived on the scene and located the suspect still armed with the rifle and issued multiple verbal commands for him to drop his weapon. The suspect failed to comply and then positioned himself with the rifle pointed towards the officers. In response, two officers discharged their duty weapons, striking the suspect multiple times. Emergency medical personal arrived on scene and the suspect was pronounced deceased. No officers were injured during this incident.
