March 24, 2025 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the stabbing of a man at 12951 Briar Forest Drive about 9:20 a.m. on Sunday (March 23).

The suspect, Brandon Dominique Coleman, 29, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 337th State District Court. A booking photo of Coleman is attached to this news release. 

The victim, 57, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

HPD Major Assaults Division Detective D. Spears reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a stabbing call at an apartment complex at the above address. The victim stated he was involved in a physical disturbance at his apartment and the suspect (Coleman) stabbed him.  Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital. Patrol officers were able to locate and detain the suspect, later identified as Brandon Coleman. 

The Harris County District Attorney's Office was contacted and Coleman was subsequently charged for his role in the incident. He was then booked into the Harris County Jail.
