March 13, 2025 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man found at 9800 Ledge Street about 8:10 p.m. on October 19, 2021.

The suspect, Lorenzo Thomas, 35, is charged with capital murder in the 230th State District Court. A booking photo of Thomas is attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Patrick Fotso, 39.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives N. Henderson, L. Osborn, S. Chettry, and H. Martinez reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found the victim lying on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim, later identified as Mr. Fotso, deceased.  

Further investigation identified Thomas as a suspect in this incident. He was arrested today (March 13) and subsequently charged for his role in this incident.
