January 14, 2025 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman found deceased at 9898 Forum Park Drive about 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 1).

The suspect, Camilo Ayala, 26, is charged with murder in the 487th State District Court. Photos of Ayala, who is not in custody, is attached to this news release.

The victim is identified as Kenia Guardado-Molina, 27.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective R. Lujan reported:

Relatives of the victim became concerned because they had not heard from her and she had not picked up her child from the babysitter.  On Tuesday morning (Oct. 1), family members entered her apartment at the above address and found the woman, later identified as Ms. Guardado Molina, deceased.  She had sustained at least one gunshot wound.

Ayala is also charged with sexually assaulting a female at a club earlier in the year on June 14, 2024.
