January 8, 2025 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4600 South Wayside Drive about 9:15 a.m. today (Jan. 8).

The identity of the deceased male, 50, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer T. Hudson reported:

The male was driving a blue Chevrolet Silverado southbound at the above address when he failed to drive in a single lane and struck a tree in the median of the roadway.  Paramedics transported the man to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.  The investigation is continuing.
