April 8, 2025 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man and woman at 14155 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road about 9:25 p.m. on Monday (April 7) as a murder/suicide incident.

The identities of the deceased female victim, in her 20s, and male suspect, 27, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

Another wounded victim, a male, 25, was transported to an area hospital where medical personnel said he is expected to survive.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Hernandez and G. Zavala reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of a strip center at the above address and located a female and male with gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced both individuals deceased. A third person, a male victim, was found nearby and transported to a hospital to undergo surgery.

Detectives learned the male (suspect) fatally shot the female, wounded her male companion and then turned the gun on himself. Witnesses stated the female victim was the suspect's ex-girlfriend.
