September 16, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman found at 1501 St. Joseph Parkway about 2:45 a.m. on Sunday (September 15).  

The identity of the victim, 24, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Persad and Detective L. Gonzales reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a hospital check call at the above address - St. Joseph Medical Center - regarding a person with a gunshot wound transported by private vehicle.  The victim was later transported to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where she was pronounced deceased.  

At this time, the circumstances and location of the shooting have not been determined.
