September 15, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of three men and wounding of eight other persons at 4901 Laura Koppe Road about 2:25 a.m. on Saturday (Sept. 14).

The identities of the deceased victims, 24, 24 and 23, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Dudley and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found multiple individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced two males deceased at the scene. A third male was transported to an area hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased.

Seven other men, ages 49, 45, 43, 30, 25, 22 and 24 and one woman, 43, suffered gunshot wounds and were transported to area hospitals either by paramedics or by private vehicles. All are expected to survive their injuries.

Investigators learned a large group of people was attending a block party when a vehicle approached and occupants fired shots toward the crowd. The vehicle, with at least three unknown suspects inside, fled the scene.
