September 13, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash at 984 Gessner Road about 4:50 a.m. today (Sept. 13).

The identity of the deceased male, 48, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer M. Matthews reported:

A black Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling eastbound in a parking lot at the above address when the vehicle struck a pedestrian. Paramedics transported the pedestrian to Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The female driver, 24, of the pickup truck remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication, was questioned and released.

The investigation is continuing.
