October 3, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 11200 Northwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 290) service road about 2:05 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased male, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer S. Bouarar reported:

A witness reported seeing the male, a pedestrian, on the ground in a moving lane of traffic on the outbound service road at the above address. It was not known how or why the male was in the roadway.

The witness then observed a white Chevrolet Malibu run over the male and then flee the scene without stopping to render aid. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
