November 19, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 9200 Bellaire Boulevard about 7:35 p.m. on Monday (November 18).

The identity of the deceased female, 73, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer T. Johnson reported:

The driver of a gray Chevrolet Suburban was turning right onto Bellaire Boulevard from Ranchester Drive and struck the female pedestrian, crossing the street, not in a crosswalk.  Paramedics transported her to Ben Taub General Hospital where doctors pronounced her deceased.

The male driver, 52, of the Suburban remained at the scene, did not show signs of intoxication and was questioned and released.  

The investigation is continuing.
