November 4, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 10200 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 4:35 a.m. today (November 4).  

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer J. Leon reported:  

According to witnesses, the male was driving a black Chevrolet Impala and involved in a prior crash at 10100 North Freeway, when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a fence at a business.  The male exited his vehicle and ran up onto the freeway, where he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make or model.  The vehicle did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.  Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.
