May 17, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 4400 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 10:30 p.m. on Thursday (May 16).

The identity of the deceased female is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer C. Brothers reported:

The body of an adult female was observed to be lying in a main lane of the freeway at the above address.  It is believed she was a pedestrian struck by an unknown vehicle.  The driver left the scene without stopping to render aid.
