May 15, 2024 - Houston police are investigating  a fatal crash at 5400 North Shepherd Drive about 2:10 a.m. today (May 15).  

The identity of the deceased female, 58, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer D. Hoang reported:  

A white Chevrolet Traverse was traveling southbound near the above address when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete slab between two businesses.  The Chevrolet continued across the parking lot, exited and came to a stop in the middle of Donovan Street.  

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the female deceased.  

It is believed the woman suffered a medical issue prior to the crash.
