May 13, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1200 Eastex Freeway (North U.S. Highway 59) about 2:50 a.m. on Sunday (May 12).  

The identities of the deceased females, 24 and 35, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dallas and Officer T. Johnson reported:  

A white Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound near the above address when it was struck head-on by a gray Honda Accord traveling the wrong way (southbound) in the northbound lanes. 

The driver of the Toyota, 35, and driver of the Honda, 24, were pronounced deceased by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.  

The investigation is continuing.
