May 6, 2024 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man in 7000 block of Woodridge Square Drive about 7:50 p.m. last Friday (May 3).

The suspect, Karon Fisher, 20, is charged with murder in the 185th State District Court.  A booking photo of Fisher is attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 64, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Lazo and Detective M. Providence reported:

Officers responded to a call for service for an individual who failed to stop and render aid to another person outside a residence at the above address.  Officers learned the victim was found unresponsive in the driveway.  He had suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses provided officers with information on the whereabouts of the suspect at a nearby location.  Fisher was detained and questioned by detectives.  She was subsequently charged and taken to the Harris County Jail.
