March 7, 2024 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in a fatal crash at 1400 West Tidwell Road about 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday (March 6).  

The suspect, Tesa Teshea Hailey, 30, is charged with intoxication manslaughter in the 182nd State District Court.  A booking photo of Hailey is attached to this news release.  

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer D. Hoang reported:  

Hailey was driving a white Buick Verano westbound near the above address when the vehicle struck a curb, left the roadway and drove onto the sidewalk.  The Buick then struck a fence. 

The front -seat passenger (victim) was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.  The driver of the Buick, Hailey, was transported to an area hospital where she was found to be intoxicated and subsequently arrested and charged in this crash.
