June 10, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 5913 Glenmont Drive about 3:05 a.m. last Friday (June 7).

The identity of the victim, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:

Officers responded to a report of an deceased male within a homeless encampment at the above address. Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man deceased at the scene.

Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences personnel determined the man had suffered a gunshot wound. Homicide detectives responded to the scene and are currently conducting a follow-up investigation.

At this time, the circumstances of the shooting are unknown.
