June 7, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 4900 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 3:15 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased female, 29, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer C. Ballard reported:

The female was driving a grey Chevrolet Malibu northbound on the right shoulder of the freeway with flashing hazard lights when the vehicle struck the right wall and then veered across all lanes of the freeway. The vehicle then struck the left wall, flipped over and slid to a stop on its roof.

Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.

There were no other persons nor vehicles involved in this crash. The investigation is continuing.
