June 5, 2024 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a male at 13300 Cullen Boulevard about 4:40 a.m. on May 12.

The suspect, Sharon Renee Mitchell, 44, is charged with murder in the 179th State District Court. A booking photo of Mitchell is attached to this news release.

The deceased male is identified as Timothy Grims, 43.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant A. Lopez and Detective N. Sharp reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a vehicle crash at the above address and found a male trapped underneath an SUV. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the male deceased.

A female driver, later identified as Mitchell, was detained at the scene, questioned and released.

Further investigation determined Mitchell was responsible for Grims' death and, on May 30, a murder warrant was filed. Mitchell was arrested on Saturday (June 1) without incident and booked into the Harris County Jail.
