June 4, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 100 North Sam Houston Parkway East service road (Beltway 8) about 6:20 p.m. on Monday (June 3).

The identity of the victim, 46, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Lazo and Detective L. Brooks reported:

An unresponsive male with a gunshot wound(s) was found in the driver's seat of a red Volvo sedan near the above address after Harris County Precinct 4 deputies responded to a crash at the location. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect description.
