June 3, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8920 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 1:15 a.m. today.

The identity of the victim, 31, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants C. LaFour and R. Montalvo and Detectives A. Hernandez and D. Higgs reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a motel at the above address and located the victim inside the driver seat of a vehicle in the parking lot. The man had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

The suspect is described only as a male, possibly bald, wearing a two-toned mask that had red and white coloring. He was wearing a dark hoodie, pants and black sneakers with white soles.

At this time, there is no known motive in the shooting.
