July 16, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5920 Richmond Avenue about 3:35 a.m. today (July 16).

The identity of the victim, 48, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective V. Nguyen reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of a bar at the above address and found the victim with at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
