July 15, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 12600 Westheimer Road about 12:40 a.m. today (July 15).  

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Richards and Officer J. Best reported:  

The male was walking in an unknown direction at the intersection of Westheimer and South Dairy Ashford Road when he was struck by a vehicle of unknown make or model.  The vehicle did not stop to provide assistance and fled the scene.  

Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the male to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

At this time, there is no known suspect or vehicle description.
