July 12, 2024 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 5901 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 12:25 a.m. today (July 12).

A photo of the suspect, described only as a black male, is attached to this news release. 

The identity of the deceased male, 23, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Montealegre and K. Amri reported: 

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the above address and found a male who had been shot multiple times in the parking lot of a vehicle storage lot.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

Witnesses reported there had been an argument over a vehicle.  The verbal altercation then resulted in multiple suspects pulling out firearms and shooting the complainant.  The unknown suspects fled the scene.
