July 11, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a juvenile male that occurred at 8501 Broadway Street about 12:45 a.m. today (July 11).

The identity of the victim, 13, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officer C. Vaughn and R. Waterwall reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim inside an apartment.  He had suffered at least one gunshot wound.  Responding Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

At this time, there is no known suspect(s) or motive.
