July 10, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 10630 Beechnut Street about 2:20 a.m. on Monday (July 8).

The identity of the victim, 49, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant Mark Holbrook and Detective Robert Lujan reported:

Residents of an apartment complex located at the above address called 911 and reported hearing gunshots. Residents found the victim lying in the common area of the complex with apparent gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him deceased at the scene.

At this time, there is no known suspect(s) or motive in the shooting.
