July 10, 2024 - Charges have been filed against a suspect in the assault of a man at 8950 Glencrest Street about 8:40 p.m. on Tuesday (July 9).

The suspect, Miguel Angel Guerrero Hernandez, 33, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 262 State District Court. Guerrero Hernandez's booking photo is attached to this news release.

HPD Major Assaults & Family Violence Division Detective A. Otero reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a crash call at the above address and learned a man, 43, had suffered a leg injury after a vehicle struck him. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital.

Investigators learned Guerrero Hernandez struck the victim with his vehicle during a domestic dispute and fled the scene. Officers later located him and he was taken into custody.

The Harris County District Attorney's Office was consulted and Guerrero Hernandez was subsequently charged.
