July 9, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4211 Wilmer Street about 7:45 a.m. on Monday (July 8).

The identity of the victim, 31, and his manner of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Miyako and Detective C. Bowling reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the residence at the above address and found a male who had suffered a gunshot wound.  Paramedics transported the man to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Two other persons were at the home when the shooting occurred.  Both individuals were questioned and released pending further investigation.  Detectives are awaiting results of an autopsy on the man.
