July 1, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 5200 East Hardy Road service road about 9 p.m. on Sunday (June 30).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant Y. Ramirez and Officer D. Thompson reported:

A gray Toyota Tundra pickup truck was traveling north on the East Hardy service road at the above address when the driver lost control of the truck and struck a brick mailbox and a power pole.  The pickup truck then struck a church building and a fence.  The driver was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.

No other persons or vehicles were involved in this crash.

The investigation is continuing.
