January 25, 2024 - Houston police have learned a woman critically injured in a crash at 3200 West Orem Drive about 6 a.m. on Sunday (Jan. 21) has died.

The identity of the female, 30, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones reported:

The female was driving a blue Honda Accord northbound on Waterloo Drive when her vehicle was struck in the intersection with West Orem Drive by a white Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling eastbound on West Orem Drive.

Paramedics transported the woman to an area hospital in critical condition.  On Wednesday (Jan. 24), investigators were informed doctors pronounced the woman deceased.

The male driver, 27, of the Ford was not injured.  He was questioned and released at the scene pending further investigation into the cause of the crash.  No charges have been filed at this time.
