January 2, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8400 Almeda Genoa Road about 5:50 a.m. on Monday (Jan. 1).

The identity of the deceased male, 32, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer J. Tran reported:

The male was driving a black BMW 428i at a high rate of speed eastbound at the above address when he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to spin.  The car struck a wooden fence and a large steel container.  Paramedics were called and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.

No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash.  The investigation is continuing.
