February 13, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a female, the wounding of a male and the apparent suicide of another male at 11355 Richmond Avenue about 2:35 p.m. on Monday (February 12).

The identities of the deceased female victim and male suspect are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Brooks and C. Davidson reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at an apartment complex at the above address and found an unresponsive male and female inside the leasing office. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the male and female deceased. Officers discovered a second male had been shot and was transported by paramedics to an area hospital. He is expected to survive.

Further investigation, evidence from the scene and witness statements determined a male suspect entered the leasing office and shot the female and male victims, who were employees of the complex. The suspect then turned the gun on himself.

This incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
