February 9, 2024 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 1200 Allen Genoa Road about 1:25 a.m. today.

The identity of the deceased male, 42, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Griffiths and Officer C. Brothers reported:

The male was driving a black Buick Verano northbound at the above address when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree in the center grassy median. Paramedics pronounced the male deceased at the scene. A male passenger, 45, was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
