Investigation into Male and Female's Death at 127 Rebecca Street
December 30, 2024 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man and woman found after a fire was extinguished at 127 Rebecca Street about 5:25 a.m. on Saturday (Dec. 28).
The identities and causes of death of the man, 78, and woman, 77, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives K. Clark and M. Nicotra reported:
Houston Fire Department emergency personnel responded to a house fire at a residence at the above address. Firefighters located two unresponsive individuals inside the residence and transported them to an area hospital where doctors pronounced them deceased.
HPD homicide detectives responded to the scene. A preliminary investigation found no signs of foul play.
At this time, the investigation is pending the man and woman's causes of death, to be determined by an autopsy. The cause of the fire will be determined by the HFD Arson Bureau.
