December 30, 2024 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 3347 Persimmon Street about 9:05 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 29).

The identity of the victim, 41, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives A. Vinogradov and D. Crowder reported:

Officers were dispatched to a person down call at an apartment at the above address and located an unresponsive male on the front porch of an apartment. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses reported hearing an argument and multiple gunshots in the area several hours earlier, at about 3 a.m..

At this time, there is no suspect description or motive in the shooting.
